Suits & Mitts

Badge placement – Junior (Red&Black) suits:
Skills badges & the Promise badge should go in rows under the student’s name (or logo if you’ve already started there)
Black stars should be sewn down the white panel of the either sleeve

Trouser length info
Trousers should be no longer than ankle length (remember to allow for the fact that they do drop down a bit when being run around in!), and should be turned up inwards (to do with toe safety when doing partner work). It doesn’t matter if they’re sewn or glued, as long as they are turned up so they can’t be tripped over. Trousers can’t be worn ‘rolled up’ for safety reasons, but you could roll up the waistband on the trousers and stitch it into place it you prefer.

All about Mitts
Mitts are designed to protect the wrist when punching. An ideal fit is when the fingers can poke out of the end (down to the middle knuckle), so that a fist can be made. The top of the wrist strap should sit just under the wrist when worn.

Mitts should be labelled with a student’s name or initials on the OUTSIDE of the mitt, just above the wristband. This is so that if they end up on the lost property shelf you can identify them as yours (and also stops them going home with someone else of course!)
